Not music this time.

Do you know who Burgess Meredith is? If you don’t, you should. What a terrific actor. He starred in, among other things, two of the best Twilight Zone episodes ever, according to me, “Time Enough to Last” (which crushes me every single time I watch it, without fail) and “Mister Dingle, The Strong,” which was so much fun. He also played the Penguin on the ham-handed Batman! tv series, starring Adam West.

You know who Ray Bradbury is, right? If you don’t, I can’t explain it to you. Not until you get outta that cave!

Anyway, here, I have found, for your auditorial pleasure,

Burgess Meredith reading There Will Come Soft Rains, the beautiful and spooky short story by Ray Bradbury

And Mister Meredith reading Marionettes, Inc, also by Ray Bradbury.

Now. Tell me who can read these story finer? The first one made me shiver.

Pete, please edit that to read, He played the Penquin.

Then feel free to delete this comment.

Then we can start the comment tree anew and pretend that little faux pas didn’t happen. 😉

I think we’ve been abandoned by Pete! He won’t even let us comment on his “Back Shortly” message.
